I doubt they will have to pull the engine completely out of the car, but it is possible that it will have to be lifted up off the motor mounts to get working clearance between the oil pan and the frame.

no you don,t need to pull the engine.if they know what they are doing then all they will need to do is raise the engine. if they are any kind of mechanic you should have your car back within a day.
