If it's possible (you didn't say which engine you have), you do it by raising the engine up and putting small blocks between the motor and its mounts that you've already unbolted. Such a terrible job, so hard to line everything up right when you go to put it back together. If that gasket really is the problem ( most everyone blames it when the problem is up above it), then take the time to yard the engine and do it well.How to change oil pan gasket on 93 mustang with engine in car?
you have to take the engine out to change the oil. that's what i always do
